Experience Summary
Currently, I am in my final year of obtaining my doctorate degree in physical therapy. As an undergraduate student, I served as a teaching assistant to the freshmen biology labs which involved me grading lab reports, setting up exams, and primarily teaching the students what they did not understand from lecture. It was extremely rewarding, and I loved doing it. I am very strong in the sciences and math because those were the emphasize of my undergraduate degree.
Teaching Style
I very much enjoyed my experience as a teaching assistant. Also, my clinical experience as a student physical therapist has allowed me to see that all people have different teaching styles, and the teacher has to recognize that and adapt accordingly. I make a consistent effort to do this with my patients, to use whatever it takes so they can understand such as demonstration, verbal, or allowing them to just do it.
