Experience Summary
I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology/Education and a Masters degree in Social Science Education. I am a St. Johns County Schools Middle School Language Arts Teacher. I have also taught Social Studies previously. In addition, I have over five years of tutoring experience in math and reading to students of all ages, from kindergarten to college age. I am teacher certified in English (6-12), ESOL (K-12), Math (6-12) and Social Science (6-12). I have also taken four out of the six required courses for the certification in Reading (K-12).
Teaching Style
I love teaching and working with children of all ages. I am a very dynamic teacher; and believe in cooperative learning, group work, and hands-on activities much more than paper-pencil or note taking. In addition, I hold very high standards for all of my students. I believe that if you hold high standards, the students will rise to the occasion and surpass your every expectation.
