Experience Summary
I possess a passion for education and an enthusiasm to teach others. I earned two master's degrees, MEd in Elementary Education and a MA in Library and Information Science. These two degrees have enabled me to gain an understanding about how to teach different types of learners and how to encourage critical thinking skills. My BS degree in Child and Family Studies provided many courses on child and adolescent development, which has helped me to be cognizant of the cognitive and behavioral development of the students I teach. I have experience teaching children and adults, from preschool to the university level, in a wide variety of subjects.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is student-centered. I believe in the concept of multiple intelligences. Therefore I assess the learning style of each student in order to tap into their preferred way of learning. I believe learning should be an enjoyable experience for the student and the teacher. My superior analytical skills enable me to provide engaging lessons to my students. Whenever possible, I use real-life examples in my teaching in order to keep the student's interest level high during the lesson. I have an upbeat, positive attitude towards learning that is highly contagious.
