Experience Summary
I have attended CFCC and FCCJ. I am currently attending Liberty University for my Bachelor in Education. I have been teaching for about 7 years and through that time I have learned an extensive amount not only through in-services and training classes, but through my colleagues. I feel very confident in my ability to reach children that feel that they just can't get it. I have two children of my own, which I homeschooled for a year. My daughter, who is 13 years old, has Dyslexia and short term memory processing issues. I have learned so much just by teaching and tutoring her. I have taught K-3 thru 8th grade. I have tutored k-5 thru 12th grade in Reading and phonics.
Teaching Style
I feel very strongly about a differential approach to my teaching methods. I believe every child is different and learns differently then the next child. I feel confident in developing a lesson plan that can be diverse enough to meet each and every child’s gifts and disadvantages. My life is dedicated to teaching and I hope that I will be able to teach for a very long time. My hopes are to eventually acquire a PhD in Education.
