I have an MSW and JD,completed all courses for Ph.D.in Sociology. I advise and counsel students on academic and personal issues; critique writing and critical thinking skills. I have strong interpersonal skills; relate extremely well to all learners.
Teaching Style
I must learn from and with my students, recognize different learning styles and abilities; challenge and encourage; support all efforts and accomplishments. Goal: acquire new information;reach maximum potential.Part of my challenge + responsibility is to have every class member realize this; to impart my knowledge and experience to all; to have them gain knowledge; to capitalize on diversity so all are able to take away information; to grow academically, emotionally and intellectually. My hope is that my students attain a sense of accomplishment, achievement and success that they did not previously have. Teaching is my passion. Student and professor is a team that shares the academic experience.
