Experience Summary
I have been an educator for over sixteen years.
The more years I work in education, the more I have come to realized that educators are life coaches, and change agents. It is my pleasure to affect the lives of every student.
Numerous professional development trainings, educational seminars, individual reading, and university courses have helped my academic proficiency. A few of my professional goals include the following:
1.Providing an increase quality of education to all students
2.Pinpointing the roles of parents in reducing the educational achievement gap

Teaching Style
Freshness of ideas, participative decision-making, and openness to suggestions characterizes my preferred teaching style.
My experience has taught me that school curriculum should start with the long-term goals of making meaning and transference of learning. As an educator, I strive to be sure my students:
a. acquire important information and skills,and
b. transfer learning to new situations.
Teaching with meaning and transfer requires authentic demands and application of the new skills and information. Students will not perform, and learning will be short term if they are not given authentic learning opportunities.
It truly does take a village to raise a child. I am proud to be a member of this village.
