Experience Summary
I have earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my master’s degree in Counseling. Since graduating I have worked at several nursing homes as the Director of Social Services. In the past year I have written two novels and my first children’s book.
While attending National Louis University, I tutored college students for two years in the field of Psychology. In addition to this, I also taught ice-skating classes and private lessons for about five years to students from the ages of three and up. I have also been a nanny for approximate six years in which I helped children with their homework and how to read, etc.
Teaching Style
In addition to my two degrees, I have returned to college to take classes in biology in chemistry. I am a firm believer in the importance of education. I teach by acting as a role model. I am patient, easy going, and I am fun to work with. While certain subjects can be dry, challenging and very difficult, learning doesn’t have to be. I believe that all children have the potential to succeed if given the right tools needed to overcome their challenges. A good teacher can make learning fun and can make a huge difference in one’s life.
