Experience Summary
Over my time of getting my degree I have gotten my certificate in Early Education and I have many classes in social work and psychology. I also am ESOL endorced and got a masters degree in curriculum from National Lewis. I have also taken many courses and workshops on ADHD students and how to incorporate music into the curriculum. I also did my fifty page paper in my masters program on "Empowering Students with ADHD" I belonged to CHADD for a year and have also taken sensitivity training which teaches us how we appear to others and how we relate to other human beings.
Teaching Style
I have taught five year olds for 30 years and the rest of my experience is in 1st grade, 2nd grade and 3rd grade. I also substitute for the sarasota school system at this time. I am teaching k-5. I am a very nurturing teacher and have often had to be an advocate for a child who has none. I like a warm and safe environment for my students and live for the day they realize that they have caught on to a concept or begin to read. I like to break things down for kids until they understand a concept I believe that all children can learn if given the chance.
