Experience Summary
I have taught school for fourteen plus years. I have taught everything from TMH/PMH, reading recovery, kindergarten, third grade, fourth grade, fifth grade, sixth grade...with a wide range of abilities. One of my strengths has been to really "know" where my students are at so I can differeniate and teach them accordingly. I have tutored privately for the last four years with great success.
Teaching Style
I am known for my enthusiasm and motivation. I am good at listening to my students and taking their interests and turn learning into a fun event! I understand where they are at and know where they need to get to (state standards). I encourage them by focusing on their strengths and making an "I CAN" folder...here are the items we will be focusing on so they can learn and progress. I am great at making connections and make learning real, fun and relevant to them. There has to be buy in! :-)
