Experience Summary
My experience includes working as a Substitute Teacher for Duval County Public School for more than two years. Some of the subjects I taught included english, reading, writing, math and history. I was hired as a Paraprofessional for Alden Road Exceptional Education for a year where I assisted the teacher with special need students in Middle School. I also taught VPK for two months as a teacher helping pre-kindergartens to be prepared for elementary school.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching and I have taught from grades K-12 and some of the children were special need students. Working with special need students required patience with the understanding that there are different learning styles for everybody. My teaching style is to follow the curriulum that is given to me and leave time for questions to be asked by the student. I believe that if a child believes that you the teacher, has their best interest at heart, they would be more willing to learn.
