Experience Summary
I have worked as a School Social Worker for the Lake County Schools Student Services Department for the past 10 years. Through this job I have had experience with students from Pre-K through high school. I have also been a homebound instructor through the Lake County Schools for elementary school students. I was responsible for all subject areas.
I worked my way through college and tutoring was one of my main jobs. This was with both elementary and middle school age students. I tutored the students primarily in the subjects of English, Language Arts, and Math.
Teaching Style
While I am not in the classroom full time, I enjoy working with students and their families. I like to provide hands on opportunities for learning whenever possible. I believe that childern learn differently and it is important to find what motivates children. It is also important to engage the family in the learning process.
