About Me

Experience Summary

Graduate student from Florida A&M University who seeks job to further degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts. I am actively seeking an education position. I have had the opportunity to function in an educational setting making it easy to adapt to new situations and faculty concepts. In the fields that I have previously worked, I have demonstrated for my employers an exceptional facility for meeting organizational objectives and demands. My superior and student's parents have recognized that I have created constructive changes in student's academics, play, and home lives.

Teaching Style

My philosophy on education consists of repetition, consistency of lessons/homework assignments, and active participation amongst the students that would be expected and required. The class would have assignments that would not call for memorization, but for critical and analytic assessments that causes children to think outside of the regular norms. Group assignments encourage team work and repetition that does not become memorization but something that comes natural to ones ability. Repetition of assignments will allow the individual to explore different tactics and objectives for different courses to apply this to what one already knows. In order to provide the most efficient means of productivity, regular homework and class assignments will be given accordingly. Worksheets would be provided for students to do in class as a pre-requisite for their homework for the night. After the worksheets are completed, the answers would be provided. Any students with questions would be permitted to ask them and the answer will be explained thoroughly. Of course, it is important to know why the answer to the question is the answer, not just to know if it is right or wrong, so each question on the worksheet would be discussed as to why it is right and what makes it right. Along with understanding and obtaining an answer, any additional assistance will be provided with student study groups. In the class environment, it is vital that the individual has an active participation level in all class related projects and endeavors to improve the quality of their own learning experience. Becoming an essential contributor to class discussions will reflect the individual’s progress in the class. This is important, but the thing about this is the simple fact that one can know many things and have adequate experience, but we are constantly learning new and different things from others. I expect my students to learn through repetition and through critical and analytical skills. Using memorization as a prime factor for progressive learning will not be sufficed in a classroom setting. I will give a challenge and expect students to take it, explore, and learn. I love challenges. This is what makes learning vital. This is what I would expect from my students; To take challenges in order to learn new things and ideas that will further their education. The students will be challenged in all aspects and would be expected to give their 110% at all times.
