Experience Summary
In May 2009, I graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a BA in Elementary Education. I had a wonderful experience in college where I gained a philosophy of becoming a lifelong learner, and I believe that everyone should be lifelong learners. I had a very rewarding experience in tutoring through the wonderful Big Brother / Big Sister organization, where I tutored elementary students. I also interned in a third grade and kindergarten classroom where I learned how to meet the needs of each individual student through the use of many strategies.
Teaching Style
Since third grade I have always wanted to become a teacher. My third grade teacher inspired me to work hard and to never give up. I want to become that same inspiration in the lives of children. I believe that all children should be given an opportunity to learn. Children learn in many different ways. From my college experience and working in a classroom, I gained knowledge and strategies that would be beneficial for all students. Students should be given a chance to go above and beyond their potential when given appropriate learning experiences. I am a firm believer in becoming a life – long learner where learning never stops. I want to make a difference in the lives of children because they are our leaders of tomorrow.
