Experience Summary
I have worked as an elementary school substitute teacher for the past three years. I have substituted in math, science, music, language arts, etc. While teaching grades k-5, I have earned my teaching certification. In the summer of 2008, I tutored a second grader in math and had her dividing and multiplying in to time!
Teaching Style
Every student benefits from a special teaching style, dependent on the students' way of learning. I am best with teaching elementary school math using tricks and tools they may not get to learn in a typical classroom setting. I find it best when I ask a series of questions in the beginning to evaluate their knowledge. From there we determine the best way to learn. Sometimes students need help with discipline to memorize information. Sometimes students need material explained to them in a different way for it to "click". I will be there for them until they achieve their goal!
