Experience Summary
I currently have a BS degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with an emphasis in Early Childhood and a minor in Psychology. The program at Pittsburg State University was very intensive and provided me hands-on experience working in child care facilities, creating developmentally appropriate lessons for preschoolers and working closely with families. I have tutored students in college and post college.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is very hands on. I believe in using manipulatives to help engage a child better. I feel like learning can be fun and it is up to us to make it that way. I believe all children have different styles of learning and it is up to us as teachers to ensure we are adapting our lessons and styles to accomodate all children.
