Experience Summary
I have been teaching in the public school system for 19 years, primarily with 3rd-5th graders. I have a passion for teaching both reading and writing, but I am certified to teach all subject areas: first through fifth grades.
In addition to teaching in the public school system, I have done outside tutoring and for numerous years, I have also tutored in an after school program at my school.
I am priviledged to have remained at the same school for seventeen years and feel very fortunate to have previous students return to visit and share their success stories with me every year.
Teaching Style
I do believe that my passion for teaching both reading and writing allows for my students to feel successful in both of those areas. My test scores over the years prove that I am more than capable of assisting students to reach their goals and surpass them.
I never accept anything less than their best and encourage all students to achieve that and then some. My expectations are high because I feel that every child has the ability to succeed. Success is NOT an option......and if given the right circumstances, encouragement and atmosphere, EVERY child WILL succeed and work to their potential.
