Experience Summary
I currently hold a bachelor of science degree in biology and also have obtained a minor in chemistry. The major subject areas taught in my college curriculum where biology, chemistry, math, and physics. I feel that I am completely comfortable in teaching any one of the subjects. In the past five years I have been a CPR/first aid instructor for future lifeguards. At the end of twenty four hour training class each student was required to pass a test with an 80% or better.In addition to this, during my last two college years I tutored college and high school students on a volunteer basis. These students where tutored mostly in Chemistry, Biology, and Math ranging from algebra to trigonometry.
Teaching Style
Teaching is an art that many people find difficult. I am a firm believer that through a good education students can have a future in whatever career field they choose. In essence, a teacher has the ability to give a child a future. I think one of the best was to educate is by practice and hands on experience. As a teacher my main goal is for the student to comprehend the material which they are studying.I believe with hard work all children can be successful in meeting their education goal.While it is true that not all children learn in the same way, this issue can be solved by a very compassionate teacher that wants success for all of his or her students.I do feel that I can give children and adult students this success.
