Experience Summary
Upon graduating high school, I immediately enrolled in college and completed my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education within 4 years at the University of South Florida. I taught 2nd grade for 3 years. I am beginning my 7th year teaching 3rd grade. For the past 7 years, I have taught in an inclusion setting, having ESE students in my classroom as well as general education students. I have experience with all types of exceptionalities. I have tutored students struggling in all subjects and also assisted students in developing stronger organizational and study skills to help promote their success in all subject areas. I enjoy helping students of all ages with varying strengths and weaknesses.
Teaching Style
I have always enjoyed working with children and their individual needs. On an individual basis, I have the opportunity to identify and strengthen a child's weak areas to help support growth in all areas that may not be possible when working with a group of children. I tailor my instruction to meet each child's needs and interest. I use a variety of strategies until I find what works with each child. Whether it is using manipulatives to solidify a math concept or reading material in an area a child will find stimulating, I will work my hardest to find the key to unlocking your child's potential. It will be an experience your child will look forward to.
