Experience Summary
When I was in second grade my family moved from the U.S. to Ireland and it was there that I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics. I have always had an interest in health and science and so, on returning to the U.S., I took many courses in Biology, and Anatomy & Physiology.
It is clear that I have always had an interest in working with children in some way. Over the years I have taught religious education, I ran a Brownie troop, and most recently I worked as a teacher’s assistant at New Gate Montessori School and TLC childcare.
Teaching Style
I believe all children have different ways of learning. It will be my job to discover what approach works best for your child. I might describe myself as patient, easy going, and fun. My goal is to make learning enjoyable, and to promote a true love of learning. I believe that every teacher or tutor has an opportunity to influence your child in a positive way. We all remember our favorite teachers from school. Maybe it was the humor they injected into the classroom, or the way they always took the time to help you understand, or the way they really cared about you and your success. Whatever it was, they had an impact on your learning and in some way your life. It will be my mission to help your child reach his or her full potential.
