Experience Summary
I have been a teacher for 40 years. I retired because family care-giving required my full attention. My studies prepared me to teach and my experience prepared me to meet the needs of each student. I am experienced in all areas of Language Arts; reading, writing, grammar and literature as well as elementary math, history, psychology and the arts. I can help students with the organizational and learning skills that are important in a student’s success.
Teaching Style
I have always been a teacher. I taught swimming when I was 14 and French to fifth graders when I was in high school. I love working in education. I believe that all people, young and old, can learn and reach their potential. My teaching style is calm and patient. I have a good sense of humor and am creative. However, I have high expectations for my students and for myself. I find joy in learning and believe that teaching allows me to share this joy.
