Experience Summary
As an educator that has taught in both the private and the public schools systems for the last 19 years, I have learned a great deal.....the child must always come first! My degrees are in Early Childhood and Elementary Education with most of my career spent in Kindergarten and First grade. I have tutored students of all ages, and have even had requested to lower my rates to include a group looking to pass their high school entrance exams and work as a group. I am very patient, organized, and creative and use these characteristics to meet the needs of all my students.I am the tutor that is sought out in March, so the student will have one of the few spots that open up each year. I look forward to working with you and your child.
Teaching Style
Although I believe the FCAT is a test that demands respect, I do not teach to the FCAT. My instruction is differentiated for each child and if they are able to give me more, I push them to their ability. My goal for my students is to teach to the highest level they excel in using a variety of methods........I want my students to be well-rounded in their abilities, not just able to pass a test. When I work with your child, they will look word to seeing me and I will look forward to watching and helping them grow. The best part of all is that their skills all build on one another and the difficulty to tackle new concepts is not as threatening to them because I leave them with tools in hand. I look forward to making a difference!
