Experience Summary
I currently in my third year of the Secondary Education program at Florida Gulf Coast University. I feel this program at FGCU has allowed me to peruse my passion for science, specifically Biology, and use that to teach future generations of students. I originally was a Biology major, so my science and math credentials are beyond the required credit hours for the education program. I also feel my writing skills are above average, which I have become passionate about since my work on research papers, laboratory reports, and term papers. I have a little over a year experience working with and tutoring children during 80+ observation hours required for the Education program at FGCU.
Teaching Style
I thoroughly enjoy working with students, and helping them to strengthen their academic and intellectual skills required for higher education. It truly is a passion for me to teach science; specifically biology because the concepts envelop the mechanisms and structures that define life as we know it. It is important for all people to understand or at least recognize these concepts, and what better place to start is with the children. If it is true that the children are our future, then the future is now.
