Experience Summary
As an honor student at St. Petersburg College I will graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Management in the Fall 2009. In pursuit of my degree I have taken Algebra, Calculus and Trigonometry. I have experience in preparing research papers. I have excellent written and verbal skills and have experience public speaking. I served as Student Body President for St. Petersburg College. I traveled to Guatemala as a student representative. I traveled to Tallahassee in support/opposition of legislation favorable/unfavorable to college students. I am accustomed to working in teams and have proven leadership skills.
Teaching Style
For 20 years teaching has been a lifestyle for me. I have raised four boys and have home-schooled three of them. My youngest son is enrolled in a Magnet program and has never received less than A. I believe that third grade is a pivotal year in a child's life and lays the foundation for education. I believe that middle school can be a trying time in the life a new teen. With the proper support sixth through eighth grade can be a wonderful time of accomplishment and preparation. By high school children start looking into the future and making life decisions that will determine their path. I like to help teens see the opportunities available while demonstrating the application and relevance of the skills they are learning.
