Experience Summary
I have a bachelor degree in chemistry and a master degree in environmental chemistry. I have more than 25 years of teaching experience. I taught general chemistry at the Faculty of Engineering of Universidad Catolica Andres Bello (Andres Bello Catholic University) and physical chemistry at the Instituto Pedagogico de Caracas (Caracas Pedagogical Institute). I have also been a translator (English/Spanish and Spanish/English) since 1999, so I know the weak points for those that have English as a source language and Spanish as a target language. In Michigan, I have been a Spanish tutor with a lot of students.
Teaching Style
I like teaching. I enjoy watching the learning process to see how a student becomes better and better, improving his/her knowledge with time.
I am flexible about teaching methods. Some students need a lot of theoretical aspects, then exercises. Other students need only exercises because they master the theory.
Some students can be helped particularly with drawings, graphs, schemes (they are visual students). Others prefer hearing explanations (they are more auditive ones). Most of students are a combination of it (audio-visual).
