Experience Summary
After earning my TEFL International Certification in Alexandria, Egypt teaching english as a second language, students began creative writing skills. Using language for fun. Through reading of various literatures, students learned how to solve Problems, make decisions, understand Cause and Effect. Students learned good Citizenship by critical thinking/writing. Together we took many Field trips around town to understand customer service language at – the Post Office, and natural science Centers. At Museums, students kept journals in english language to write about what they saw and experienced. Vocabulary, grammar and spelling came from their own journals.
Teaching Style
There are 9 learning styles. Some students have a combination of several styles with which to absorb and retain information. Based on the individuals learning style - verbal, logic, self taught, kinesthetic, etc. a student can learn. The initial assessment is done during the first meeting to discover the best way each student will need. I am patient and try to make learning fun for all students. I have helped so-called retarded children - write poetry, read fluently, since they had a lyrical musical learning style.
