Experience Summary
I have four years of teaching experience at graduate school. I was pursuing my Ph.D. at the University of Toledo for two years before I got a job. I graduated from University of California, Davis with a master degree in chemistry in two years. At both schools, I worked as a teaching assistant. The students I taught are mainly from life science, pharmacy and chemistry. The teaching job usually includes three sections. 1) Recitation. 2) Lab. 3) Office hour. I always provided extra help if the students asked for.
Teaching Style
1)As a tutor, I believe it is important that whether the students trust you, they would ask by themselves whether you are willing to help them and you are capable to help them. I always provide a good smile to my student when he/she comes and behave professionally. 2)I think good observation and communication are necessary, which can help to figure out the real problem is, such as not enough focus, careless, or lack of imagination, etc. 3) I do not take tutor just as a job, but also a help. So I'm happy to provide my knowledge to help my students for school.
