Experience Summary
I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Physical Science from California State University, Fresno. I received my first teaching experience as a substitute teacher. I next worked as a long-term substitute teacher for a year. I was then offered a full-time, permanent teaching position as a fourth grade elementary school teacher. This position lasted three years. I will never forget the joy I received each time one of my students learned something that they had been struggling with for some time. When that proverbial light bulb came on and you could see the exact “aha” moment twinkle in their eyes, it made teaching the most rewarding career that I have known thus far.
Teaching Style
I believe there are many different styles of learning. It is my job to find out which styles your student uses to learn and implement teaching methods that cater to those styles. This creates an environment where your student will feel successful in his or her learning. I am all for whatever it takes to make your child the most successful and satisfied learning that he or she is destined to be. Along with this belief, my mannerisms are patient and understanding so that your child will not experience a negative environment in their learning process.
