Experience Summary
I am currently enrolled at the university of phoenix where I will begin a masters in education this upcoming month. I have a BA in human services, which has allowed me to gain understanding about children and adolecents and what are some of the motivators that may be able to help them want to learn and go forth seeking higher education. During the first year of my last job I got to tutor children in rural communities in NM. I have to say that working with these children was a life changing experience. I observed that with a little bit of attention and the appropriate educational guidance these children were able to learn what they had not been able to learn in school.
Teaching Style
I have a passion for teaching children and adolecents. I have the strong belief that everyone has the capability to learn anything that they desire, but it all comes down to the amount of effort each task is given. I am a strong believer that each child has a different way of learning and that each child must be given that special attention to help him/her succeed. Through my experience in working both in the school settings and in the homes, that appropriate learning settings must be provided to the student.
