Experience Summary
I have earned a bachelor's degree in French, for that is the subject for which I have the most passion. During my time at the University of Southern Maine, I also took several classes each in Political Science, History, and Criminology. I have written many papers, both for research and writings' sake. I am currently an instructor for Initial Entry Training soldiers at Ft. Huachuca, AZ. I have instructed in this position for approximately seven months. I critique students on writing reports and have also critiqued students on their argumentative style.
Teaching Style
I believe the learning experience should always be an enjoyable one. I use humor from time to time in my teaching. A teacher can make the learning experience more enjoyable and more memorable by injecting humor into certain lessons. This has proved to be very productive, since many of my students have shown that they benefited from my instruction style by asking follow-up questions, clarifying issues in which they have confusion. I also encourage students to think on their own, so that as long as they can reasonably justify their line of reason, then they cannot be wrong.
