Passionate Special Needs Teacher with a Bachelor and Master’s Degree.
The majority of my experience has been Kindergarten to Sixth Grade: Self-Contained and Resource Room. I promote discovery learning principles to accommodate diversity. Possess vast knowledge of both the cognitive and affective domains, in addition to guiding students in the development of intrinsic behavior modification. Throughout my years of experience as a teacher and grader of state-mandated Writing Tests, I have learned extensive skills to provide students with the necessary tools to develop proper essays and term papers. I have utilized many different language arts curriculums, which have supplied me with expert tools in teaching all areas of reading.
Teaching Style
Throughout my 21 years of teaching, my desire to pass on my love for education to children has never wavered. All children should be provided with the opportunity to learn all that they can. Everyone is an individual and must be provided with the tools that will enable them to succeed. As a teacher: I am patient, respectable and creative. Teaching is not just about textbooks, but about providing students with other tools to enhance their learning experience. Working together, we can make a difference.
