Experience Summary
As a teacher for the last 6 years, and a student for the last 22, I’ve been blessed to know and learn from many amazing teachers and students-in fact, I have been inspired by them. I’ve gleaned various teaching techniques for all types of learners, gained knowledge in various subject areas, and have had the privilege to teach what I’ve learned to others. For four years, I taught English, math, study skills and science in a classroom setting. For the last 2, I’ve taught English to adult English language learners and tutored children and teens in various subject areas. In the near future, I will also be taking classes to help students with Dyslexia.
Teaching Style
I absolutely enjoy teaching and love working with children, teens and adults! I believe that all students learn in their own way, so I’m committed to getting to know each student-their strengths, likes, dislikes, interests, and learning styles. I am available to help students improve and succeed. I am patient, kind, and considerate, and strive to provide a positive environment for all students. I firmly believe that all students can meet their potential and I am committed to seeing that happen.
