Experience Summary
I am a National Board Certified teacher with over 11 years of experience teaching both adults and children at all levels from remedial to Gifted. I am qualified to tutor in the areas of Writing, Grammar, Reading , Language Arts, English, and Literature. I am bilingual (English/Spanish) and have experience working with non-native speakers.
I am proud of what my students have accomplished and of my exemplary performance record both in Miami Dade and Broward Counties.
Teaching Style
Teachers provide a catalyst for learning by making information understandable and applicable to students. As a teacher, I must have an intense passion for teaching. I also must be able to make a real and personal connection with my students. In order to help my students succeed; I demand excellence from them just as I demand excellence from myself. I implicitly trust – and often express my confidence in – the unlimited possibilities for improvement and achievement in my students and in myself. As a result I expect nothing less than their best efforts. . Beyond striving to ensure that students learn the fundamental content of the subjects that I teach, my objective as a teacher is to prepare students to function as highly skilled and competent adults
