Experience Summary
After graduating from Marymount Manhattan College with my BA in psychology, I began tutoring mathematics and psychology for their tutoring center. Having great success tutoring students, I was given the opportunity to teach a select group of incoming freshmen who were struggling in their college algebra class. Four out of my 5 students doubled their pre and post placement test scores and had the highest range of scores in the entire program. I have tutored from pre-algebra through pre-calculus and psychology at the college level as well as teaching college algebra and a GRE math prep class.
Teaching Style
I love tutoring and finding different ways for the students to understand the topic. I like to make math not only understandable for my students, but also enjoyable. Everyone should be able to feel confident in their abilities and should be able to reach their maximum potential which I try to get them to.
