Experience Summary
I have a long and varied background in the educational field. I earned a master’s degree in elementary education in 1970 and a second master’s degree in adult education in 2007. I taught elementary grades in the New York City school system for six years. I was a college administrator for 20 years at for-profit, career colleges. Throughout that time, my main concern was student learning, comprehension and implementation.
Teaching Style
The specialization for my second master’s degree in Adult Education was Teaching and Learning. The focus was learning styles. Therefore, I am well aware of the different learning styles that each individual utilizes to learn and comprehend. Learning is facilitated when that specific learning style is identified and then implemented. Every student has the ability to learn. However, we all learn differently and at different rates. Once the learning style is identified and the learning rate is taken into account, learning can be accomplished.
