Experience Summary
I graduated from Western Carolina University with a degree in Middle Grades Education with concentrations in Math & Science. As a student I worked in the classroom for 3 semesters doing various jobs. I have tutored students in Math, Science, Language Arts and Social Studies. I have currently been working for Macon County Schools, substitute teaching and tutoring for the end of grade tests.
Teaching Style
I love teaching and everything about it. I believe that anyone can tell you about a subject area, but I believe it takes a special person to be able to teach it to students. Not every student learns the same way. I like to include several different teaching styles to help every student have success. Whether it be lecturing, hands on examples, letting the students discover on their own through examples, using tangible items or practicing test skills I think I can include these different strategies to help each student succeed.
