Experience Summary
I earned my BS and MA in mathematics at Arizona State University in a total of four years. I also worked part time during that period so I am very motivated and a hard worker. I have a thorough understanding of math at all levels ranging from elementary school to introductory graduate work. I have tutored privately and for a math tutoring center in the past and have enjoyed the work. The experience has made me very comfortable at presenting math to students of all ages in a simple and relatable manner.
Teaching Style
I feel that I connect very well with math students of all abilities and ages. I quickly pick up on what aspects interest them and what areas that they dont connect to as easily. I make the material seem valuable to learn and help the students put it in an everday context. I focus on positive reinforcement and a step by step approach to solving math problems.
