Experience Summary
While attending Pensacola Christian College in 2007, I joined every kid's clubs as well as a Delinquency Center for teenagers’ ages fourteen through sixteen. Doing so, I’ve learned tactics key to dealing and helping young people no college could ever teach me. I currently am attending college. My freshman year I tested out of English 100 and 101, and tested into Advance English, EN 111. I learned exceptional grammar skills in EN 102 due to multiple types of essays, narratives, précis, and research papers. I have also developed lesson planning and organization skills. I have taken Speech as well as Public Speaking which I do on a regular basis. In my few years of college I have tutored and helped students in English, Reading, Spanish, Accounting, and History. I have counseled with many teenagers and have seen many make the right decisions in life that helped them in their education and everyday practical living.
Teaching Style
Working with children and seeing them succeed, is one of the few things in life that bring me great joy. I love helping children reach the full potential. Not all children learn the same way therefore it is important to know different methods of teaching and making the work appealing to the student. I believe that showing the child that you genuinely care about him is a big part of helping them reach their potential. A child should know that I am available to him at anytime and for any reason. Teaching is a full time job and plays a delegate in a child’s development. The teacher I remember from high school and elementary are the one who showed me that they truly care about me and wanted to see me succeed in life. These teachers made the difference therefore I have adopted this philosophy when I am called to help. Teach or counsel with children.
