Experience Summary
As a graduate from the Instituto Superior Pedagogico (in CUBA) I have been teaching and tutoring for more than 36 years now. I was awarded my BS in ESOL grades K-12. I have been teaching Math (K-8), Spanish (K-12), Language Arts (K-12) and English for Technology students at the Higher Polytechnical Institute. I have taught many post graduate courses (for upgrading the knowledge of English) to engineers and architects. During the last two years I have been teaching and tutoring in a computerized private school in Miami Dade.
Teaching Style
I really love what I do. I am a very patient and caring teacher. I educate and teach children self-discipline. I strongly believe in child-centered-instruction. In all my classes I encourage my students to go beyond the text to learn all they can and provide them with tips to expand their horizons. One of my goals is to prepare my students to be active and thoughtful learners.
