Experience Summary
I am a graduate of Western Illinois University, and I am excited to be starting my teaching career. I have earned a bachelor degree in Elementary Education and have received my teaching certificate for Elementary (K-9). I have been teaching in a pre-school for the past three summers while I was finishing my schooling. I have had the opportunity to work in many schools while finishing my degree. One program that I really enjoyed volunteering my time in was America Reads. I was able to tutor students in reading and help them to become better readers through this program. I am very committed to my career and plan on pursuing a master's degree in the near future.
Teaching Style
I think that children are the most vital asset to our society. We must pass on all the knowledge that we possibly can, and I have decided to dedicate my life to this endeavor. I believe that all students have the ability to learn. I believe that each student learns in his or her own way. Whether it be a visual, auditory, or kinethetic learner, I am prepared to alter my teaching style to assist my students in any way possible. I will strive to help all the students that I come into contact with, and I know that I will learn a lot from these students as well.
