Experience Summary
My resume highlights my ability, knowledge, and expertise in individual and group therapy at a master level in the field of social work. During my time at Eastern Michigan University, I was able to advance my skill set and knowledge-base by being in a supervisory role. As I matriculated, I learned how to multi-task as I was a graduate student and an employee for EMU. In my role I tutored and advised college students who were on academic probation, specifically in the subjects english and history.
Teaching Style
I dealt directly with children and families from disenfranchised populations, demographically diverse populations, and special needs populations. What I value most is having the opportunity to work with adults and children simultaneously. This gave me a broad over-standing of how to approach very challenging situations. In addition, what I have found to be an effective tool when working with academically challenged youth is having patience, and showing unconditional positive self-regaurd.
