Experience Summary
Hi, I am Karna. I have graduated in the May of 2009 with "Astronomy" major, from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (U of I).
I have amazing mental math skills as well. I had passed mental math test from "Optiver Trading Group" last year (Sept-2008). In the test, I answered 50 Math question correctly without skipping any, within 8 minutes, WITHOUT using calculators, WITHOUT any scratch paper.
I have worked as a tutor at the College of Lake County- 'CLC' (Grayslake, IL) for one year. I will again be tutoring Math and Physics during summer2009 at CLC.
Thus, I have excellence and experience of tutoring.
My Math GRE score is 790/800.
Teaching Style
I am patient, and I make the students think. I have tutored students from 10 to 80 years of age.
I also try to boost the confidence of students if they are down.
Most Importantly, I make sure that the students have the fundamental concepts jotted down in their armory to crack any exam/problem.
I also make sure that the students maintain the same proficiency in the subject for years to come.
