Experience Summary
As an engineer and attorney, I have tutored while a student in college and while mentoring technician candidates as they returned to school to obtain associate degrees in technical subjects. I also undertook to write a sylabus and class concept for two new classes on technical subjects that I had approved and taught at Massachusetts Bay Community College. In college I tutored students in Math, Chemistry, Physics and Engineering subjects.
Teaching Style
Each student has personal methods of learning that work best for them, and certain ways of doing things that do not work for them. I like to try and explain a concept to the student in different ways until that particular student feels at ease with the theory and idea behind the subject. Once the basic idea is well understood the reinforcement of the principle by means of problem solving can show the utility of the idea and how it may be used in real life.
