Experience Summary
I graduated with honors from Univ of Utah and then completed MBA while working full time. I have invested 25 years in business operations management as a career. I have not received anything less than an A- in a math class since 8th grade.
I have been adjunct teaching at Salt Lake Community College and LDS Business College since Fall 2003. I have taught mathematics, statistics, and software applications.
Course evaluations have always been high, and student feedback has been very positive.
Education is the key to any improvement effort - productivity, quality, etc.
I have also tutored approx 10 students during the last 5 years.
Teaching Style
I love watching people learn - seeing the mental light bulbs turn on and glow.
My style is one that encourages collaboration and involvement between teacher and student. I strive to not be the sage on the stage, rather the guide on the side. We use exploration, pair-share, short team assignments, simple rewards, and service based learning in my classes.
