Teaching Style
Throughout my career, I have always enjoyed seeing the light of understanding dawn in students' eyes. Helping students to become self-directed in the learning process is a vital part of my approach. Oftentimes emotional baggage hinders true learning, and it is always my goal to enhance the teacher-student relationship so that the student feels safe enough to learn and thrive. I believe an inductive approach lends to more ownership of the learning process, although there are times when a more deductive, concrete approach is called for. Teaching is about helping a student find his/her true self and grow toward self-actualization!
