Experience Summary
I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin River Falls with a BS in Marketing Communications. My minor area of study while at River Falls was Psychology, and over the course of my college career, my interest in the topic has developed into a career goal. I plan to return to UW River Falls this Fall to earn a Mater's degree in School Psychology. For the past six years I have taught and coached Swimming and Diving lessons to children ages 4-16. I have also tutored Junior High students in English.
Teaching Style
I believe that every child has the ability to be a successful learner, and I enjoy watching my students grow and improve at different paces. My goal is to make each child feel comfortable in their learning environment, while challenging each student according to their level of ability. I respond well to students who become easily frustrated, and adjust my teaching style accordingly. It can only take one teacher to make a difference in a child's educational path. It is my goal to be that kind of teacher.
