Experience Summary
I believe education is primarily about learning, not merely making a grade. As I applied this philosophy in college, I realized that where true learning occurs good grades follow. I completed a bachelor's in accounting summa cum laude in 2009. In addition to my major focus in finance and business, I completed a minor in History and took an extensive number of English courses as well. The broad liberal arts framework for my college curriculum taught me not only specific subjects, but how to learn and how others learn. I have had experience tutoring in math, accounting, and history.
Teaching Style
I believe that true education requires your child to synthesize the material, not merely memorize answers. As your child's tutor I will seek to provide them guidance and instruction to help them solve problems and learn material on their own. Not only will your child learn the material, but my goal is to teach them how to learn so that they can achieve success not only with a tutor now, but long into the future.
