29 years progressive Graphic and Technical Illustration, Layout and Design; 3 years Technical Writing, Cataloging, and Process Engineering; 11 years Managerial and Supervisor responsibility with specific success in: Corporate Art Departments, Government Contracting, Full Color Display, Flipcharts, Manuals, Documents, Promotions, Brochures, Charts, Graphics, Logos, Signs, Mailers, Posters and Isometric, Perspective, Wiring Diagrams and Schematics Drawings. Developed, organized, and implemented re-designed efficient system for tracking 1,000s of Technical Documentation orders, coordinated/negotiated with 10 vendors to purchase $200M in graphic services/supplies, and planned, organized, supervised development and operation of four Art Departments. During the last five years I was imployed at Jefferson County Public Schools in Louisville Ky. as a Substitute Teacher. I also was a Tuitor for West Carrollton Middle School 2002-2003.
Teaching Style
To be honest I worked as a Substitute because I was Laid off from my job. But when I started teaching I found it was very difficult to keep control of the class and to get the students to do their work. I thought I couldn't do this anymore. I didn't quit and things did get better. I learned that most of these children were from single parent homes, and were living below the poverty level. They were scared, hungrey and tired at times, and I new I had to adjust for me to be of any help, and I did. I believe it takes parents, teachers and students all wanting to work together to be successful. I feel I'm a very patient and caring individual and want my students to succeed.
