Experience Summary
I am a recent graduate of the University of Washington. My studies focused on physics, pure/abstract mathematics, applied mathematics, computer science, as well as some work in statistics and engineering disciplines. I have a BS in Applied Computational Mathematical Sciences which is a hybrid degree that focuses on all of the disciplines listed above. Throughout school I have run several personal businesses and developed training, management, and communication skills. I have tutored mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, statistics, and computer science.
Teaching Style
Having the opportunity to work with and help all sorts of students has allowed me to better define and shape the methods that I use to teach and assist students. I would describe my teaching style as very dynamic. I try my best to explore what methods of thinking and presentation work best for each individual student. I typically try to present topics from multiple perspectives (eg: visually vs. abstractly). I also emphasize peeling back the layers of knowledge to a level the student finds intuitive and then rebuilding on that foundation.
