Experience Summary
I possess certificates in the state of Florida to teach Biology and Chemistry grades 6-12. I have taught Earth Science to 9th graders for one year, and have worked as a substitute teacher for two and a half years. I have a BA in Theatre, and am currently working on a minor in Chemistry.
Teaching Style
I am interested in teaching secondary science. Science provides a unique outlet for student growth, due to its explanations of the unknown. The challenges of science not only allow me to teach students how to investigate the world and acquire knowledge, but also to incorporate problem solving and life skills. The experience of seeing students use newly learned skills and information to conquer social problems or investigate a creative idea is priceless to me.
