Experience Summary
I am confident that my college education at the University of Nebraska, interpersonal skills, direct work experience and passion for education and further learning make me a great candidate for this exciting opportunity. I am a former student-athlete at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where I was a member of the Husker Tennis team. During those five years I tutored English to a wide range of multi-national students, helping them on a wide range of areas from grammar to rhetorical writing. I was a spokesman and representative for the Student Athlete Committee and engaged in numerous school visits helping children learn the fundamentals of English writing and successful presentation. My duties as a SAC representative included proofreading elementary level textbooks for English classes in Nebraska.
Teaching Style
I am passionate about helping children engage in education. My previous experience of organizing summer tennis camps and coaching has provided me with this passion. Coaching children and watching them improve has set the foundation for me to understand different techniques necessary to keep children motivated while continually striving for improvements. Through my direct college education, tennis coaching license, and tutoring international students has given me the tools to teach groups of distinct diversity.
